The eZ Conference was held in the heart of Berlin last week and gave some 200 business partners, developers, users, interested parties and customers the opportunity to attend all sorts of interesting specialist talks and find out about and share their knowledge of the eZ Publish platform.
One of the key focuses of this year’s event was new mobile terminals and the concomitant new business models and technical possibilities. The mobile app developed by silver.solutions specifically for the conference, with which the conference programme could be called up at the press of a button, impressively demonstrated the potential that eZ Publish has as a universal content platform. The app proved to be a huge success at the conference.
Numerous case studies conducted by, for example, Tytogaz and the Financial Times gave an insight into the many ways in which the software can be used. There were also overarching topics which generated a lot of interest and discussion at the conference, such as the trend of moving over to commercial open source software.
The annual eZ Awards ceremony comprising eleven categories took place on the evening of 24 June. The jury chose the most important and most innovative entries from among four or five nominations in each category.
silver.solutions, which is based in Berlin, attended the conference with its own stand and successfully showcased itself as the event’s global sponsor.
