Selecta Spielzeug AG looks back on a long tradition. In 1968 Tilmann Förtsch and Günther Menzel founded the company with the aim to provide high value, specially chosen toys which promote the development of children. Wood as a natural raw material is especially suitable for this. The name of the company mirrors the company philosophy: „Selecta“ is from the Latin and means something similar to „the chosen”.
Job:
Having implemented a B2C shop for our customer Selecta Spielzeug AG, we have now also set up a shop solution for distributors. Business customers can now access an online order platform for placing orders around the clock.
Solution:Just like the B2C shop, the B2B solution was also developed on the basis of the silver.basic online shop and is connected to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system via the Web-Connector.
The product data is created manually in the shop’s back end. The shop is available in four languages (German, English, French and Dutch). Orders can only be placed in the B2B shop following prior registration. Customers are shown customer-specific prices in the product category and detailed views, which are retrieved from the Navision merchandise management system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) at run time.
Based on the functional scope of the B2C shop, the B2B shop specifically offers resellers functions making it easier to place orders in the shop. Shopping carts can be stored and later retrieved for future orders. In the service area, customers can see a summary of orders, invoices, outstanding arrears and credits. They also have access to an express order form for entering and ordering articles on the basis of known item numbers. There is also the option to import a text file containing necessary details such as item numbers and quantities in order to speed up the order process. Furthermore, game instructions can be downloaded in PDF.
The “My Profile” service feature can be used to change personal user data such as invoice or delivery address.
Sales representatives can process customer orders directly in the online shop.
